Our History

St. Christopher Center for Children was established in 1984 when a group of parishioners saw a need for their school age children to have a safe place to go before and after school.  So, in August of 1984 the parish hired the Director, Judy Deitering Shoup to make this dream a reality.  The Center opened it’s doors in late August with a before and after school program.  By November of that same year, the Center received a license to operate a preschool and full day program .  Today, St. Christopher Center for Children is day care, pre-school and after school program designed to provide experiences of personal, social and academic enrichment for its children within a Christian environment. We are governed by the Pastoral Council of St. Christopher Parish and are licensed by the STATE OF OHIO. The center does not discriminate in enrollment of children upon race, color, religion, national origin or disability.
